Decking & Fencing FAQs

How long does it take to replace a fence panel?

A single fence panel replacement is usually a one-hour job. A full run of panels and posts along a typical Derby garden boundary is normally completed in a day, depending on access and how the existing posts have weathered.

Do you use treated timber?

Yes, always. We use pressure-treated timber for panels, posts, deck boards and joists so they last as long as possible in our British weather.

Can you repair storm-damaged fences?

Yes. After every winter storm we get plenty of calls for damaged fences across Derby. We can usually get out for a quote within a day or two and replace damaged panels and posts quickly.

How long does a new deck last?

A properly installed deck using treated timber, with annual cleaning and a re-treat every couple of years, will typically last ten to fifteen years. Composite decking lasts longer but costs more upfront.
